Ataman Zelanyi Breaks the Pereiaslav Agreement with Moscow

On July 15, 1919, the Tripil' Ataman Danilo Terpylo, known as "Zelanyi", announced the termination of the Pereiaslav Agreement with Moscow in front of a gathering in the city center. This act was a response to the aggression of the Bolsheviks and their actions against the Ukrainian populace. Later that year, the ataman supported the anti-Bolshevik Kureniiv Uprising in Kyiv.
