Traffic Accidents: Over a Million Deaths Worldwide and the Situation in Ukraine

In 2023, approximately 1.34 million people died in traffic accidents worldwide. In Ukraine, the mortality rate from traffic accidents has decreased by 44% since 1990, yet issues remain, particularly a high death rate among men aged 10-39. The majority of those injured are drivers and passengers of cars, trucks, and buses.
