Expenses of Ukrainian Zoos During the War

Despite the challenges posed by the war, Ukrainian zoos continue to operate, incurring significant expenses for animal care. According to Transparency International Ukraine, over the past year and a half, zoos have signed contracts worth more than 518 million UAH, highlighting the importance of funding from local budgets. The main costs are associated with feeding animals and veterinary care.
