World Athletics Ratifies Indoor 400m Record for the First Time in Over 20 Years

World Athletics has ratified the indoor 400m world record set by American Hale McRae with a time of 44.52 seconds, marking the first ratification in over 20 years. This record comes after three attempts to meet the federation's standards for timing accuracy, as previous results were disqualified. The previous record of 44.57 seconds was held by Kerron Clement since 2005.
