Transcarpathian Man Sentenced to 9 Years for Growing Marijuana

The appellate court has sentenced 48-year-old Zholt Erdevo from Velikaya Palad to 9 years in prison for growing marijuana. Law enforcement discovered 74 cannabis plants and approximately 148.5 kg of processed cannabis in his home greenhouse and basement. He was previously acquitted, but the prosecution appealed the verdict, seeking a harsher punishment.
