Supreme Court Upholds Sentence of Former Chief of Berdiansk Port

The Supreme Court of Ukraine confirmed the sentence of former chief of the Berdiansk branch of the State Enterprise 'Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration', Oleksandr Barchan, sentencing him to 4 years in prison. The ex-director of the Dnipro branch, Nataliia Panchenko, received a 3-year sentence. The Appeal Chamber overturned a previous acquittal, and the defendants' lawyers filed cassation appeals, although one appeal was later withdrawn.
