Significant bacterial pollution has been recorded in the Dnipro and Sukhy Kahamlyk rivers in Kremenchuk, leading authorities to advise residents to avoid contact with river water. The highest levels of lactose-positive fecal coliforms have been found at the beach near the "Kahamlyk" regional landscape park.
