Hantavirus Infection Confirmed in Lviv Region

A 53-year-old resident of Stryi has been confirmed to have a hantavirus infection. The illness manifested with symptoms including a fever of up to 38.6 °C, chills, headache, and muscle pain. It is known that the man recently traveled to Croatia and the mountainous regions of Ivano-Frankivsk, but the exact source of infection has not yet been identified.
