Suspect in 'Green Tariff' Fraud Extradited from Poland to Ukraine

A 44-year-old owner of a private solar power station has been extradited from Poland to Ukraine, suspected of unlawfully obtaining nearly 1.3 million UAH for electricity that was not actually produced. The investigation revealed that the individual organized an inflation scheme for the produced electricity using a modified meter. The extradition took place on July 16, 2026, upon the request of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
