Kyiv Customs Officials Seize Rare Books by Wilhelm Wegner

Kyiv customs officials interrupted an attempt to illegally export two volumes of works by the German writer Wilhelm Wegner to Thailand. The 19th-century books have cultural and historical value and include illustrations by the renowned artist Heinrich Leithmann. Exporting such rarities without permission from the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture is prohibited.
