Germany to Invest in Defense Startups

The German government is establishing an investment fund to acquire stakes in defense startups. Economy Minister Katarina Reiche highlighted that effective investments in the defense sector could boost the country's economic growth by 0.5-1%. This decision was prompted by the war in Ukraine and doubts about the reliability of U.S. security guarantees.
