Mining Sector Calls to Maintain Electricity Transmission Tariff Due to Inflated Costs

The National Association of the Mining Industry of Ukraine (NADPU) urged the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NERC) to maintain the current electricity transmission tariff, citing inflated costs in the new calculation. Specifically, proposed expenses for technological losses are set to increase by almost 88%. The association believes that the surplus revenue of UAH 3.49 billion can be used to cover tariff deficits rather than increasing the tariff anew.
