Changes in Kindergarten Construction in Ukraine: New Regulations from October 1

The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine has approved new state building norms for kindergartens, which will come into effect on October 1, 2026. The key change is the abandonment of a one-size-fits-all template for all facilities, allowing architects to tailor designs to specific needs. The new norms will also simplify requirements for small facilities, creating more opportunities for their establishment in residential and public buildings.
