The US to Decommission USS Enterprise, the Longest Warship in History

The US Navy has signed a contract for the decommissioning of the USS Enterprise, the world's first nuclear aircraft carrier, for a cost of 418 million dollars. The ship holds the record for length at 342 meters and was active from 1961 until 2012, remaining the only representative of its class due to its high cost.
