Ukraine's Janitors Earn More Than Young Teachers

In 2026, the average salary for janitors in Ukraine reached approximately 16,500 hryvnias, significantly surpassing that of young teachers, which stands at around 12,000 to 13,000 hryvnias. The salary increase for janitors is about 15% compared to the previous year. The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers also plans further salary increases for teachers, yet the gap between the two professions remains substantial.
