Opening of the Far Caves in Kyiv Pechersk Lavra

The Far Caves (Feodosiy Caves) in Kyiv Pechersk Lavra have been reopened after a long period of closure. The reopening coincided with the Day of the Baptism of Ukraine-Rus and the Day of Ukrainian Statehood, with festivities beginning with a prayer for Ukraine. This marks another step towards restoring access for Ukrainians to the sacred sites of the Lavra.
