Russia Introduces Control Measures for Migrants via Mandatory Mobile Devices

Russia is mandating that migrants use mobile phones with electronic profiles to track their movements. The Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service reported that this innovation will enable real-time geolocation tracking of foreigners, with severe consequences for those who violate the rules. Legislative changes also include automatic sharing of migrants' income information with the Ministry of Internal Affairs every three months.
