System Error in New Jersey: 6600 Non-Citizens Incorrectly Added to Voter Rolls

In New Jersey, a malfunction in the motor vehicle department's system resulted in 6600 individuals who indicated they were not U.S. citizens being mistakenly added to the voter rolls. Governor Miki Sherrill stated that these individuals answered 'no' to citizenship questions, but the system still registered them as voters. Preliminary analysis shows that fewer than 400 of these individuals voted.
