Astronomers Suggest Dwarf Galaxy May Have Altered Milky Way's Position

Researchers from Durham University discovered that a dwarf galaxy known as Gaia Sausage may have significantly impacted the orientation of the Milky Way due to an ancient collision. This collision, which occurred around 10 billion years ago, could have led to a change in our galaxy's position by more than 90 degrees. The scientists used supercomputer simulations to model this process.
