Foreign Volunteers in Ukraine Unable to Receive State Awards

Foreign volunteers fighting for Ukraine are currently unable to receive state awards, including the title of 'Hero of Ukraine'. This limitation stems from Ukrainian legislation, even though there is a legal mechanism in place that allows for such honors. Relatives of the volunteers have launched a petition calling for legislative changes to ensure fair recognition of non-citizens who have fought for Ukraine.
