The jersey worn by Pele in the 1958 World Cup final was sold at Sotheby’s auction in New York for a record $4.9 million. This item is now the second most expensive jersey ever sold at auction, surpassed only by Diego Maradona's jersey. The same shirt was previously sold in 2004 for only $105,600.
