Road Issues in China Due to Heavy Electric Vehicles

In China, an increasing number of new vehicles exceed 5 meters in length, particularly heavy electric cars that are damaging the roads. This is causing a budget deficit for road maintenance as traditional fuel tax revenues decline sharply. The government plans to initiate repairs on about 40% of local roads that are in need of restoration.
