Recognition of Patriarch Filaret's Contributions to Ukraine

Patriarch Filaret, born in Donbas to a miner's family, has been recognized for his service and contribution to the establishment of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Church. He chose a path of devotion to God, declining a career in the Russian Orthodox Church to support the independence of Ukrainian Orthodoxy.
