Court Allows Controversial Mayor of Ukrainka to Remain in Office

The court has allowed Alexandr Turenko, the mayor of Ukrainka, to remain in office despite allegations of land misappropriation and selling sand from a cemetery. Law enforcement estimates the damages to exceed 75 million hryvnias. The ruling was made by Judge Oleksandr Zinchenco, who was previously involved in land issues related to the Turenko family.
