Budget-2026: 300 Billion UAH Shortfall Threatens Defense Spending in 2027

The government did not account for the increase in defense spending from the previous year, resulting in a 300 billion UAH shortfall in the budget-2026. This issue may recur in 2027, as new defense needs are set to be approved only in the autumn, while the budget draft must be submitted by September 15.
