Cyber Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: A New Approach to Cybersecurity in Wartime

Ukraine is establishing Cyber Forces as a separate military branch to address modern cybersecurity challenges. This strategic step aims for a systemic approach to combat in the cyber domain, including active measures against Russian threats. According to military estimates, Ukrainian cyberattacks caused over $1.7 billion in damages to the aggressor in 2025.
