Court Orders Investigation into Official Negligence in Khmelnytskyi

A court has ordered the National Police to investigate the alleged negligence of officials from the Khmelnytskyi City Council related to pollution in the Ploska River. In August 2025, the release of toxic chemicals resulted in the death of over 30,000 fish, with damages estimated at 53.5 million UAH. Investigations indicate that ecological issues may have stemmed from systemic inaction by local government bodies.
