In France, 40,000 hectares of forests burned, over 100 people arrested

Since the beginning of the year, approximately 40,000 hectares of forests have burned in France due to numerous fires. Authorities have arrested 111 individuals suspected of being involved in their cause. Meteorologists have warned of a high risk of forest fires in 27 departments.
