Gboard to Learn Gesture Language through Smartphone Camera

Researchers at Google DeepMind have announced new features for the Gboard keyboard that will enable gesture language recognition using the smartphone camera. The new system utilizes the advanced SignGemma model and ensures privacy by processing video directly on the device. Work is still underway on supporting regional sign language variations.
