Two Passenger Planes Nearly Collide over the Atlantic

Over the Atlantic, west of the Canary Islands, two passenger planes—an Airbus A321 from Iberia and a Boeing 787 from Air Europa—found themselves on a collision course at the same altitude. The incident occurred on July 10 but was reported only recently. Thanks to the TCAS warning system, the crews avoided a collision by descending and climbing respectively, and both aircraft landed safely.
