General Serhiy Delvig and His Role in the History of the Ukrainian Army

General Serhiy Delvig, a former officer of the Russian Imperial Army, played a significant role in the history of the Ukrainian military. In 1919, he negotiated an agreement with Poland regarding a demarcation line, which, although not recognized, aimed to halt hostilities. Delvig also prevented the opening of a third front against Romania, which could have jeopardized the Ukrainian People's Army.
