Increase in Ukrzaliznytsia Tariffs Will Impact Construction Costs in Ukraine

Starting August 1, 2026, Ukrzaliznytsia plans to increase freight tariffs by 30%, which will result in higher prices for cement, gravel, and other construction materials. Pavlo Kachur, head of the Ukrcement association, emphasized that this will adversely affect housing costs and infrastructure reconstruction. The business sector expects improvements in the quality of services from Ukrzaliznytsia alongside the tariff increases.
