Service Dogs in Kyiv Region Aid Injured Soldiers
Service dogs in the Kyiv region not only search for explosives but also provide emotional support to injured soldiers in hospitals. Since 2019, dog handler Kateryna Belyaeva has conducted around 1500 visits to hospitals with her dogs. Notably, Poli, a mixed-breed dog, has become the first officially recognized emotional support dog in Ukraine.
